CGS announces Official Games for 2008 Season

The CGS announced today, in Los Angeles, the four official games for 2008 that will be shown in TV. In a few weeks will be announced the official online games.

The official games for PC are: Counter-Strike:Source (Valve) and FIFA 2008 (EA Sports), actualized version of the on that was used last year (Fifa 2007). For Xbox 360 we have are Dead or Alive 4 (Tecmo), second time in CGS. The big news of this year will be the game Forza Motorsport 2 (Microsoft Games Studio) instead of PGR3. The franchise will still have 10 players each, being 5 for CS:Source, 1 for FIFA, 2 for DoA4 and 2 for FM2.

The North America will be the first ones to play, from 7th to 9th of March in Austin – Texas. The Combine and the North American Draft will have the best players of US and Canada that will fight for a place in one of the 6 franchises: LA Complexity, New York 3D, Chicago Chimera, Carolina Core, San Francisco Optx and Dallas Venom.

A Championship Gaming Series (CGS) anunciou hoje, em Los angeles, os quatro jogos oficiais para o ano de 2008 transmitidos pela televisão. Daqui a algumas semanas, serão anunciados também os jogos que serão disputados on-line.

Os jogos oficiais para PC serão o Counter-Strike:Source, da VALVE, pela segunda vez na CGS, e o FIFA 2008, da EA Sports, versão atualizada do jogo utilizado no último ano, no qual foi usado o FIFA 2007. Para Xbox 360, Dead or Alive 4, da Tecmo, que também está pela segunda vez na CGS. A grande novidade deste ano será o jogo Forza Motorsport 2, da Microsoft Game Studio, entrando no lugar de Project Gotham Racing 3, que foi usado em 2007. As franquias continuarão com 10 jogadores cada, sendo 5 para CS:Source, 1 para FIFA, 2 para DoA4 e 2 para FM2.

A América do Norte realizará a primeira competição da temporada. Entre os dias 7 e 9 de Março, será realizado em Austin, Texas. O Combine e Draft norte-americano contará com a presença dos melhores jogadores dos Estados Unidos e Canadá, que irão lutar por uma das vagas nas seis franquias: Los Angeles CompLexity, New York 3D, Chicago Chimera, Carolina Core, San Francisco Optx, and Dallas Venom.
